Master Steerpike, it is a pleasure to meet you albeit a bit frightening. I have never seen this Gormenghast of which you speak, however my travels in this world have been rather small. I do not see a point in escaping anything if you are in control, as you seem to be.

My typist wishes to inform you that she is rather a fan of you despite your actions. She is alternately mumbling something about "product of circumstances" and "pretty, very pretty." I am not quite sure what she means, but it seems to be a complement.

I swordstick? How interesting. I carry a walking stick, good for bashing people, but it doesn't seem quite as fun as a swordstick. Where would one procure such a thing?
