My name is Steerpike, of Gormenghast, as if one could ever really be anything else. Gormenghast is the world, and the world is Gormenghast. No matter how far one runs, there is no escaping the stones of Gormenghast. So I don't bother trying to escape. I will control Gormenghast, and all its people.
My... impudent secretary irritates me already. She suggests that I mention I am from the book trilogy Gormenghast, by Mervyn Peake, and the TV miniseries based off of it, where I was most excellently portrayed by one Jonathon Rhys Meyers. Although my typist says that I really wasn't that pretty in the books. She'll regret that remark.
I carry a swordstick at all times. It makes an excellent accessory.
