Are life and joy but fleeting?
Is love a wilting flower
That blossoms on first meeting
But blooms but for a hour?

No! Such is not love's fate in
the realm of Desperate Fans.
Although Death may - does - visit,
he can't forbid the banns.

Though lovers die, not once, but lots,
or villains hatch foul plans,
one has more luck than Stephen Bots
to love at Desperate Fans.

Do not depress your heart with gloom
or dirty pots and pans
or feelings of impending doom.
Not here at Desperate Fans!

The love that never spoke its name
at last can come to light.
Misfortunes are but stumbling blocks;
the future looks quite bright.

Although I know for some of you
these wishes come quite late
I wish you all much happiness
in the realms of the fictional great.
