Mildmay is surprised to find the party laid out in the main room, and suspiciously looks around for a few moments. But there doesn't seem to be anything else strange going on, so he walks over (walks, without limping, it's still astonishing to him) and gets himself a beer and a spot to watch the goings-on from the sidelines.
He'll find himself spotted by a friend with benefits, then, who will smile at him from her seat, then stand and walk over with easy and comfortable assurance.
"Mildmay, it has been a while, has it not?" And she'll give him the kiss of greeting, unless he stops her.
"...Sorry." He didn't mean for it to be long. But he of course allows the kiss, though it still baffles him that she seems to like kissing him so much. "Hi."
"Of course I should. I care about you, and so I worry, is all." She was almost afraid his leg had reverted to its initial state not that we're suggesting anything.
He just shrugs a little again. "Nothin' to worry about. ...Actually, everything's actually quiet for once. Ain't normal." But he sounds amused by the realization.
"Maybe," he admits, "but it'd still be a nice change." And he has so much more open to him now than he did before, he's found he enjoys just going out and running for a while, just to feel his leg move.
"That is fair, I suppose," she replies, smiling sweetly. "You know," she says after a beat, "I could dance for much longer, if I were invited, tonight."
