Lucivar is not really a big party fan. All the same...
He is mostly here because Jaenelle has, finally, given him permission to talk to elves again. And he wants to see his brothers. He wants to see Ambarussa, especially, but he also wants to see Caranthir. They have things to discuss.
He hopes it goes well. However, the prickly temper has been on edge lately, and Galadriel's story didn't help. Though it does mean he wants to speak with Finrod, if he gets the chance.
The twins aren't much in a party mood either, but when one pokes his head into the room and sees the party decorations they stop, and when they spot Lucivar in there they walk behind him and quietly each come up on either side. "H'lo."
Lucivar almost tenses, though not quite, and then looks at both of them, though hesitating to give them the hug he wants to. He does offer a very small wry smile, though. "Hello. Guessing you're not responsible for this?"
He breathes out and relaxes all the way. If they're okay, he's okay, and that's all. "Jaenelle told me not to speak to you. As my Queen and not my sister. She seemed to think it was best."
He's made the connections, here, and this is where he's trying hard not to be angry. "It's not about you," he says. "It was about your brother. Caranthir."
"She and he are, I have gathered...fairly close. For some reason, he was very angry with her, she was very upset and subsequently told me to stay away from you and your family. Ordered me." He's still not pleased with her, but... "Only recently has her mood been better. And she still won't tell me what happened."
"...We see." Another brief look passes between the twins, they have to track down Jaenelle and ask her themselves. They feel that they have a right to know. They may ask Cara first, just to know what the situation is before they talk to Jaenelle.
That's rather why he's looking for Finrod. To talk to him about that. Lucivar examines them, a small frown between his eyebrows. "If you can," he says, carefully, "Don't yell at her too much. She was - more upset than she's been in some time. For months." He pauses.
"But you can yell at her a little."
Lucivar can't quite let himself, and is settling for somewhat passive aggressive not as much affection. He would like to yell sometimes, though.
He'll get a Finrod tomorrow, when hopefully there will be notifs again.
"We'll keep that in mind." And there will almost definitely be yelling. Whether they'll confine themselves to 'a little' remains to be seen. She has a problem with them she can take it up with them.

"No idea who it was, either." One nudges him with an elbow.
"So, what've you been up to? Been a while."

"Who's fault was it, then?"

"Why would she think that? What have we ever done to upset her?"

They like Jaenelle well enough, but no one messes with their brothers but...well, other brothers.

What might, though, is his extreme and growing dislike of Curufin. And his new wariness of Tyelko.

"You have nothing to apologize for," one says, mostly managing to keep emphasis off the pronoun.
"I'm sure we'll find out why it was made to happen sooner or later." Someone's not happy with Jaenelle at all, right now.
