There are ways that one goes wooing, on the plains of Kalevala--in a sledge drawn by fine horses, dressed in clothes studded with bright and shining metals; with a priceless gift for the parents of the intended. One goes prepared to demonstrate wealth, strength, and valor, and only after asking the favor of the gods.
One doesn't really go wooing in a creaking cart drawn by a single horse, no matter how fine a horse it is. The bridegift shouldn't be a plough that furrows the fields by itself, no matter how neat a trick that is. But that is how Ilmarinen comes to the Mansion today, looking for a woman who might be his bride.
Open to females looking for a mate or anyone looking for a machine. Males looking for a mate can come too, but they are not likely to meet with success.
