She is neither strikingly beautiful nor plain, but rather a woman who was likely once beautiful, some years ago. Now she just looks tired and impatient and says, "Whatever it is this time, at least it's new."

"Laurel," Cywyllog greets her, tone friendly enough. "You will be welcome here."

She smiles a bit. "Good day, sister. I thank you, though I confess I have not the smallest idea where we are."

A small smile. "Then you are well ahead of most of us, who have no idea at all."

[hardlyagravated]

"So I've heard. But you look well," she observes.

"I thank you," she nods ever so slightly in acknowledgment. "As do you. You seem to be adjusting far better than I did when I first arrived."

"To be quite frank, I'm not sure that I believe it. But if it means I have a holiday, I'm not entirely opposed to the dream."
