After Freyja's recent display of power from her willing sacrifice, Freyr is feeling jealous and left out, and has accordingly challenged his sister to a competition. It is not a very fierce competition, at least at the beginning, but it largely depends upon whether you'd rather deal with a highly shiny male fertility god of peace and prosperity or

"Now don't you think that's a bit much? I never promised anything."

"Promised anything, dear sister?" Freyr asks, in all innocence.

[halftheslain]

"Drawing people in like that." She shakes her head. "Don't you like the thrill of the chase?"

[nordicsunshine]

"I prefer farming. Leave the hunting to your husband." Not that there's a tone of bitterness to that or anything.

[halftheslain]

She pouts. "Don't be a goose. He isn't here, is he?"

[nordicsunshine]

"I certainly hope not. Sooner or later he will arrive, you know that. What will you do then? I recommend a divorce."

[halftheslain]

"I highly doubt it. I haven't seen him in ages. Why should he appear now. No one knows anything about him anyway. But that is a good idea."

[nordicsunshine]

"Except for the typists and a potential future Odin puppet who might have the idea that Od=Odin. It is still a constant worry on my mind."

[halftheslain]

"Odin? Yeah. I'd tap that. It shouldn't be. He cannot stop me from doing what I wish. No one can."

"Not even Odin?"

[halftheslain]

"Not even the Odin." After all, she taught him magic not the other way around.

[nordicsunshine]

"And yet he has held us both prisoners in the past. Be careful, beloved sister."

[halftheslain]

"He isn't here either." She smiles a bit cockily, still riding on her power high. I guess Wednesday doesn't count.

"Too reckless, Freyja," her brother scolded. "You may regret it."

"Never, brother."
