Javert peeks warily into the main hall. It's been some time since he's shown his face in the mansion. It's been too long, perhaps. Perhaps. He wasn't very sure. Mingling is an artform, he thinks. It's to be taken seriously. Something with such a status of importance was almost mind-boggling to Javert. Being social! Is that what they do nowadays? Social activities are overrated.
