[re-introducing Harry Potter]

It's a cold, damp evening at the Mansion, not long after sunset. It was raining earlier, and there's a heavy fog covering the grounds, which, in addition to making the place quite a bit wetter than usual, gives everything a rather mysterious, eerie look, even more than usual

You'll have to excuse Teddy for staring. It's been weird enough here so far without seeing his godfather being younger than him. "Harry?"

Harry wheels around, stumbling a little and leaning on his broom for support. He's used to being recognized, that's nothing new, and also used to being recognized by complete strangers. Of course, they do usually add his surname. "That's me," he says, unnecessarily, almost - but not quite - falling into the old habit of flattening down his bangs over his notorious scar. "Er, sorry, but do I know you?"

"It's -- me. Teddy."

Harry looks baffled. "I only know one Teddy," he says. "But that can't be you, he's not even a year old yet. I think you must be thinking of someone else, sorry..."

"....trick of this place again, right. No, it's -- pretty much definitely the Teddy you're thinking of, unless there was another Teddy born when I was that you know."

[phoenix_wand]

Harry blinks at the crazy, crazy man. "The one I'm talking about is called Teddy Lupin," he explains. "His parents were good friends of mine, who were murdered by Voldemort's servants in the battle for Hogwarts. I'm--" He laughs a little embarrassedly, thinking of it. "I'm his godfather, actually. But his grandmother's bringing him up."

"I -- yeah, I know all that. And his middle name's Remus and he's a Metamorphmagus and if he's almost one as far as you know, in a bit more than ten years he'll get sorted into Gryffindor, and then about eight years later, he's going to be me."

[phoenix_wand]

Well, Harry has no response to that. He stares at Teddy with a half-open mouth. "...you're Teddy? But you're--did I go into the future or something?"

"It's just as likely that I went into the past. My mum's here."

[phoenix_wand]

"Tonks?" His face brightens. "She's alive? What about Remus? And Sirius, and Dumbledore, and--are my parents here?"

[earnedaplace]

"She certainly seems to be. And -- my dad is too, if the guy I met when I first showed up is to be believed, and I think he mentioned something about our dads being friends, and he doesn't seem to be from our world at all, so I assume that means your dad's here and I've seen Dumbledore already -- and Godric Gryffindor, too, would you believe it?"

[phoenix_wand]

"No," Harry almost laughs. "I wouldn't. You've got to be pulling my leg now. I'll almost believe the rest of them, and -- and be glad, but Godric Gryffindor? Come on."

[earnedaplace]

"That's about what I said -- when Dumbledore showed up, I asked if Gryffindor was going to be next and then the man himself just showed up. It was really weird."

[phoenix_wand]

Harry shakes his head, saying firmly, "No, that one I just won't believe..."

"I wouldn't've believed it either if it hadn't happened to me."

[phoenix_wand]

"This is weirder magic than I've ever seen," Harry frowns thoughtfully. "I wish Hermione were here, she'd know all about it if anyone does." A thought occurs to him. "Come to think of it, is she here?"
