At this moment, a scarlet-clad individual on horseback comes tearing across the mansion's grounds at an impossible speed. He zips through the garden, almost avoiding several rosebushes, and dismounts even before the horse has come to a full stop before the mansion's doors. When he is no longer racing along at a breakneck speed, it can be seen that the individual in question is a tall, fair young man in the uniform of an English army captain. He is quite handsome and wears a most pleasant expression as he raps sharply on the door, then takes a moment to look around at everything he has only just sped past. When the door opens, or when he is approached by any curious individual wondering what the devil just trampled three rosebushes, he snaps himself at once to smart military attention, that pleasant expression still not all gone from his face.
