The man who wanders through the door of the Mansion seems notable for little other than the pencil with a dulled point in one hand and the notepad in the other; in fact, it's almost comical how much he resembles the stereotypical Hollywood newsman.
"I just want a statement," he's pleading into the cell phone tucked between his chin and his shoulder. "Just something I can take to my editor. If I don't have anything by tonight, I can just imagine who's going to get the next big scoop and it isn't going to be me. So, come on, help me out. Nothing fancy, just something that isn't no comment. Do you know how sick I am of people who don't have comments? --Hello?" He pauses, takes the phone away to look at it (balancing everything else rather precariously in the process), then puts it back to his ear. "Hello? Hello?"
With a resigned sigh, he tucks the pencil behind his ear and the notepad and cell into his pockets. Once he does, he looks around for the first time, simultaneously reaching up to pat down his unruly hair.
"Huh," he says, relatively unconcerned. "Fancy digs. Too bad there isn't a snack table."
