silliness

Ganymede has found his way (to his great delight) up a tree. He's really quite high up there, all but hidden by the branches, but if one happens to be looking, they'll likely see him. And once they do, Ganymede shall certainly encourage that person to climb up and join him.

And if they don't notice him-- well, then he'll probably drop something on

Richard has moved from his room to the gardens. He is still trying to find out what to do, and try not to worry too much over the fact he hasn't seen Tom since he was a woman. He's rather failing at both, but at least failing outdoors is more pleasant than failing indoors, on the whole.

For Richard, Ganymede will give the branch he's perched on a few great shakes, sending down all manner of leaves and twigs and a few nuts that she tosses after, for good measure.

Richard looks up, confused, but then smiles when he sees Ganymede. "What, sir, have you decided to turn squirrel on us?"

"Perchance." He grins. "May I bid you join me?"

"I can try, I suppose, if you wish. Though I've never actually climbed a tree before." The tragedy of growing up in the middle of London.

"Scarce had I, ere this day. Come!" He scrambles down so he's on a lower branch.

"Very well." He removed his jacket and folded it at the base of the tree, and then somewhat awkwardly began to climb.

Ganymede comes still farther down, so that he's just a step ahead and can offer aid, if Richard needs it.

He takes Ganymede's hand and hoists himself up onto a nearby branch. "I say, this is higher than it looks from below."

He grins. "Yet 'twas easy to reach!"

"Fair easy, for a first try." He smiles, looking down at the ground below.

"And now may we see unseen."

"Is that what drew you upwards? The hope of spying on men unaware?"

"Perchance. And to, like Icarus, see how close could I to the sun."

"As long as you do not, like him, get too close and fall."

"Oh, nay." He grins. "An I do, you shall catch me."
