It's a lovely day, work on the cottage is going well, and Mordred has nothing better to do at the moment than wander out to the Mansion, check on Arthur's rosebushes, and bother people.

If you feel like being bothered, by all means get in his way.

It will be a novel change to be the bothered rather than the botherer. Gareth is, rather like Mordred, just wandering, out of doors because the weather is so fine.

Which is, of course, an open invitation to get his hair tousled. "Hi."

Of course, and he doesn't complain (Though he does try and smooth it back from its new disheveled state to its previous one). "Hi! What are you doing?"

"Annoying you," cheerfully. "What are you doing?"

"Walking. It's sunny!"

"My God, you're right. It is."

[sirbeaumains]

"Yeah! It-- are you making fun of me?"

[illgotten]

A friendly punch in the arm. "Always."

"You're better at it than Agravaine. He just makes up nonsense."

"Of course I am. Agravaine's idea of wit is 'you smell'."

He laughs. "Last time it was something about being dead. It was dumb. Did you see those roses?"

Mordred throws him a sharp look, but all he says is, "Which ones?"

He starts a little at the look, but says nothing about it. "Oh, all of them are pretty, but I like those ones." He points.

"You would," but it's gentle.

[sirbeaumains]

"Don't you?"

[illgotten]

"Oh, aye." He tucks his hands in his pockets, quiet.
