A note

Mar 23, 2007 10:15

If Gideon Prewett seems tired, it's because he has a job to do. It's not that it's harder to do than any other job, it's that it is a job. With teaching taking up so much of his time, he's had none at all for visiting the Mansion--not for his siblings, not for his neice and various nephews. But because he misses his family, he arrives early in the morning to leave a note on the bulletin board.

Hello all,

Long time no see. I've been busy. I'm sorry this is just a note for everyone, but I wanted to let people know that I have finally gotten an owl of my own, so correspondce will be easier from now on. Efia is an African Spotted Eagle Owl. She's quite young but she's used to the environs of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade now, so I can trust her to find her away around. Just give her a note and I will answer. It will even be easier to visit since we can arrange the matter beforehand now. Hogsmeade is almost back to normal these days. The community and the castle have banded together very well to ensure the safety of the inhabitants and the students from dark wizardry.

I would love to hear from family and friends. Life at Hogwarts can be somewhat insulated. I miss my family people who are older then seventeen years old or lifelong academics.

Cheers,
Professor Gideon Prewett

((Typist: This is essentially a re-introduction, for new people who may not remember Gideon, and a partial re-set to eliminate being married to Marlene McKinnon. He's still a professor at Hogwarts since if he weren't we won't have any active puppets at the school. It sure would be nice to have a McGonagall again. Any of his other DF canon is up to others. It looks like the rabbits are reviving somewhat. If you want to poke me, do it here or email.))
