Unexpected Destination

He appears in the main room out of thin air. That does happen around here, and seeing the man in an open wizard's robe isn't surprising either. He's young and lean and terribly confused.

Startled, he pulls out his wand and scans the room, a frown bordering on a pout marring his handsome features.

"This isn't funny. Are you here, Sly?"

Tom is currently lounging upside down on a couch. It can't be proper or good for his clothes, but he doesn't really care. Tom is attempting to forget a rather awkward recent experience by balancing an apple on his head and reciting all of the British Kings he can remember. Or at least trying to.

Unlike others, he is most certainly not used to seeing people (wizard or otherwise) materialize out of thin air. When Evan appears in front of him Tom gives a cry of surprise, drops the apple, and tumbles off the couch.

Rosier whirls around, robes swirling, and points his wand at Tom. "Who are you? And where the hell am I?"

Tom gets up, rubbing his shoulder where it hit the ground. He gave the man pointing a stick at him a long, confused look. "Tom Jones," he said with a small bow and extended his hand. "I really can't tell you where you are. I've only just arrived, myself."

He doesn't lower the wand. "Are you a wizard?"

*recognizes wizard fashions anywhere... even outdated stuff*

A girl. His wand moves to point at her. "Where are we, miss?" he asks. At least she looks like a witch.

*doesn't recognize him, so laughs a bit at his wand*

Easy, I'm not out to hex you! I've been told we're at a place called The Mansion. My name's Lavender Brown... who are you?

*still uneasy but lowers the wand*

Evan Rosier. The Mansion?

This is Remus raising an eyebrow. "Rosier."

He swings to point his wand at Remus and stares in shock. All he says, though, is, "Lupin." His tone is wary and a shade distasteful.

Lupin's face is much the same as Ev's, and his hand will be wandering to his pocket. "Is there really any need to point that thing in here? Nothing's going to attack you." Unless Ev attacks first.

"I don't know that," Rosier snaps. "I don't know where I am or how I got here." He hasn't failed to notice Lupin's age. "What the hell happened to you?" Nope, he's not putting the wand away, but he points it at the ground for the moment.

Typist: So, by "hasn't been here before", do you mean "this particular reincarnation hasn't been here before", or "there never has been an Evan Rosier of any kind here"? Because in the first case Fëa would possibly recognize him, even if Ev has no idea who he is. Just asking to be safe.

typist: There hasn't been one here at all. Whatever he did before was done by someone else if it can't be explained by not happening at all. So that big thing was someone else. I know why you're asking. This is the easiest way I know to do it and still have him.

Sometimes, Lyra has really bad timing.

"Sly? That's an odd name!"

Pantalaimon, not yet suspecting any danger, sits on her shoulder in sparrow-shape.

He peers at the child and the 'animal.' "Who're you?" Ev demands, not doing anything rash yet.

"Lyra. Lyra Belacqua. And you? And who's Sly?"

"Sly is my friend. It's a nickname." If his voice is brusque it's because he's not good with children, especially Muggle children, but this girl looks a bit young to be sure. "I'm Evan Rosier. Are you a witch?"
