Unexpected Destination

He appears in the main room out of thin air. That does happen around here, and seeing the man in an open wizard's robe isn't surprising either. He's young and lean and terribly confused.

Startled, he pulls out his wand and scans the room, a frown bordering on a pout marring his handsome features.

"This isn't funny. Are you here, Sly?"

Tom is currently lounging upside down on a couch. It can't be proper or good for his clothes, but he doesn't really care. Tom is attempting to forget a rather awkward recent experience by balancing an apple on his head and reciting all of the British Kings he can remember. Or at least trying to.

Unlike others, he is most certainly not used to seeing people (wizard or otherwise) materialize out of thin air. When Evan appears in front of him Tom gives a cry of surprise, drops the apple, and tumbles off the couch.

Rosier whirls around, robes swirling, and points his wand at Tom. "Who are you? And where the hell am I?"

Tom gets up, rubbing his shoulder where it hit the ground. He gave the man pointing a stick at him a long, confused look. "Tom Jones," he said with a small bow and extended his hand. "I really can't tell you where you are. I've only just arrived, myself."

He doesn't lower the wand. "Are you a wizard?"

"A what?"

He lowers the wand and looks around. "Obviously not."

"Tom Jones," Tom said again with his hand still politely extended. Maybe the other man didn't get it the first time.

"Evan Rosier." He nods, coldly polite, but doesn't shake the hand.

"Pardon my asking, but what year are you from, Mr. Rosier?" Tom asked. He was a little upset about the handshake that had failed to happen but he went on regardless.

"The late Seventies." He doesn't even think that the century would be important.

Tom looks skeptically at the other man's outfit. Fashion couldn't have changed that much. "I'm from 1745," he says in reply. Maybe that will get the other man to specify.

"Are you mad?" Ev frowns. "I'm from the 1970's."

Oh. Tom is keeping a mental list of people he knows based on their respective years. Evan is now number 3. "I'm not mad. Everyone here seems to be from different years and places. They say it's magic." When he says magic he makes a dismissive gesture to show he really isn't sure yet.

"Of course it's magic." What kind of magic, Evan Rosier doesn't know. Muggle or not, Jones is pretty, so Ev smiles. "Don't worry about it. We'll fix it right up."

"That would be very decent of you, Mr. Rosier." Tom isn't quite sure who 'we' is, but he smiles anyway.

Wizards, of course, but he doesn't explain. He holds out a hand, not to shake, but to grasp if Tom will. "Now, Mr. Jones wasn't it? Why don't you show me around to what you know so far."
