Another Newbie

A man comes walking out of the woods. He is dressed for a colder climate than that of the Mansion's surroundings. A few strands of ginger hair stick out under his hat. Aside from the too-warm clothing, there is nothing remarkable about him: a man in his fourties, not quite content with how his life is going

Once again on her way somewhere, she passes the new arrival as he steps out of the trees. He speaks in a language she doesn't recognize at first, which is, by and large, rather rare as people somehow always end up speaking what sounds like English here...

"... Are you all right, sir?"

He, on the other hand, recognizes her language. It doesn't help make things clearer, though. His brow furrows in concentration while he tries to remember his poor English. Fortunately, so far it's limited to guidebook phrases...

"Sorry? What time is it?"

-That- question she recognizes and she raises her right hand to look at her wrist watch.

"It's about six o'clock in the evening, sir."

Her face will not display any of her surprise at the rather... unusual question from a new arrival...

His eyes widen. "Six?!" Perhaps it's just his poor grasp of the language, so he raises six fingers to make sure. "Six?"
