Another Newbie

A man comes walking out of the woods. He is dressed for a colder climate than that of the Mansion's surroundings. A few strands of ginger hair stick out under his hat. Aside from the too-warm clothing, there is nothing remarkable about him: a man in his fourties, not quite content with how his life is going.
As he leaves the shadow of the trees and steps out into the open, he looks around in surprise, then checks his watch. He frowns and shakes it, checks it again, looks around again. Then he notices the people and asks, in Icelandic, "Excuse me, what time is it?"

Detective Erlendur from the Reykjavík Murder Mysteries by Arnaldur Indriðason. Unfortunately, his English is very bad and used only when absolutely unavoidable.
