Intro Post

A slight dark-haired young man opens the front door of the mansion. He closes it behind him and takes a few steps forward, hand reaching out to touch a wall that isn't there. Thinking that he's just taken a wrong step, he moves backward to the door, expecting to feel something familiar, but the pattern is different, even the grain of the wood is

Galwyn can see that something is wrong, but he hasn't quite picked up on what it is yet. "Hello." He smiles reassuringly, not knowing that Karal can't see it. "My name's Galwyn. Are you alright?"

He tilts his head in the direction of Galwyn's voice, his eyes going past him and resting somewhere to his left. One of his hands remains lightly touching the door, but he's reassured by the friendly tone. "I'm.. not sure. Where am I?"

"It's...it's just the Mansion. No one knows where, really." Galwyn notices that he's not looking at him, or really focused on anything, and starts realizing what's wrong. "...Do you need help?"

[sight_enough]

"Ah, do you mind?" He's tentative about asking for help, but what would take five minutes with someone helping him would take a half hour at least on his own. "I'm Karal, by the way."

Karal!

He runs up to Karal's side, and careful not knock him off balance, rubs his face against Karal's shin.

I didn't think you'd ever find your way here... of course, now we can't seem to get back when we want to. Any hint of annoyance at that last is completely overcome by joy at seeing Karal. Altra purrs loudly.

He blinks in surprise before grinning widely and reaching blindly down to stroke him.

"Altra! You're here too! Does this mean Vkandis has something to do with it?"

Of course, though perhaps not directly. This place needs us. More happy purring as he pushes back against Karal's hand. I am glad you're here.

[sight_enough]

He smiles happily, scritching him behind the ears "I'm glad you're here too, I thought I was going mad when I first came in that door and couldn't feel anything familiar."

Armand watches the young man get a short tour and then be glomped by the Firecat, who he knows at least from the 'cat's first visit. Mostly he smiles. Eventually he clears his throat so as not to be too much of a surprise, and says, "Bonjour, monsieur."

The throat clearing directed Karal's attention to Armand "Hello" he replies with a smile, eyes looking in his direction but not seeing anything.

"You seem settled in a bit already." He seems hesitant in his speech. Knowing that Karal can't see his expressions, Armand is a bit nervous about sending the wrong message with his toe. "Are you that person that Altra has been going on about for months?"

[sight_enough]

"I'm getting there" he responds pleasantly "Four months! Altra, you didn't tell me it was that long" he looks down at the firecat as he says that.

[alcuin_delaunay]

"Hello," Alcuin says in reply, making no move to approach, but his tone is warm and open, welcoming. "Welcome to the mansion."

[sight_enough]

"Hello" he turns and smiles in Alcuin's general direction "and thankyou."

"My name is Alcuin no Delaunay. May I get you something to eat?"

"Oh, only if you want to" he smiles again "My name's Karal Austreban."
