Armand very nearly turns and leaves when he sees who is in the kitchen, but doesn't. He hopes his hesitation isn't obvious since he'd not want to hurt Lady Marian for the world, and she makes the best nutbread. He smiles a shy hello, and takes a pieces of that and then looks for milk in the fridge.

She smiles back, perching on her stool and trying to hide a yawn. "Good afternoon, Armand."

He nibbles the nutbread before answer. "Bonjour, Lady Marian."

"What do you think?" She grins. "Saetan's taking care of Daemonar today."

Another very shy smile and this time he does duck into the fridge to get the milk. "Delicious as always. I am very partial to Chris's baking, but nobody can beat your nutbread."

She laughs. "Thank you. Jaenelle says the same thing."

There is a flinch there, he tries hard to hide. Gee, isn't this milk interesting? "I wonder if you'd be willing to teach Chris. I bet these would be a hit in Paris."

"Of course! Let me know when you've got a spare moment."

"I'll talk to Chris and get back to you." He eats a bit more.
