My Best Friend's Wedding

Okay, so, as some may presume...I just got done watching My Best Friend's Wedding. Yes, I've seen in like...a bazillion times, but I can't get enough of that movie-- but this time, it really made me sad. How many times does it happen to people that the person you're completely in love with goes and marries someone else?

Who knows, maybe you're not really in LOVE with the person, you just think you are. I like to believe (as in states in Ever After) that two people are born for each other. That they're soulmates. However- if one of the soulmates dies---is the other just not suppose to live without love for the rest of their life? or are they to find another one whom they will call their soulmate. So, if they do-- who was ACTUALLY their soul mate? The first or the second?

I don't really know where I'm going with all this. Hah. It's just a thought. Like, really. Honestly, speaking-- is there only one person out there for everyone? The perfect mate, the epitome of ones happiness can lie in one person? Is that possible? It's a scary thought... It's a nice thought too.

But, anyways, going back to the movie-- I'm sure everyone's seen it? (Right, Daniel?!) In the end..the girl doesn't get her guy. Instead she has to learn that her soul mate was actually someones else's soul mate...and live life without him. This made me sad. =( I watch romantic comedies because at the end the girl ends up with the guy (or vice versa) and all is happy. I mean, sure, don't get me wrong.. the end of the movie left you with a smile because her gay best friend is, like, amazing...but still! Where's the Looooove!?

love, movies
