And so we reach the end...

...and I still don't really know who to vote for. It definitely wont be the BNP because I'm not an ignorant toe rag. It definitely won't be Labour because they have had a go and demonstrably screwed it up in my opinion, and it won't be UKIP because they seem to be a resting ground for some of the really unpleasant elements who used to be part of ( Read more... )

Not sure myself either.
Con candidate is Anne Main who's caught up in the whole MP homes they don't need scandal. If she had showed any contrition then maybe, but frankly I can't abide the 'I haven't broken any rules' line that she (plus 200 other MPs) trot out.
LibDems. Possible, but they lied over the referendum on the EU constitution and I feel quite strongly about that whole stichup.
Labour. oh god no, they have to go.

So that only leaves the minor parties.
UKIP. Maybe. You are right about them generally, but they are the only ones who've said anything approaching to what I think the truth is on the economy.
Green. Maybe, but they are as strongly leftwing as UKIP are rightwing.

Since I tend towards the right, rather than the left, it'll probably be UKIP. But frankly it's just really a protest vote against any of the main 3.
Interestingly enough I think the LibDems could get in here, if the number of posters is anything to go by. Since we were Labour in 2001 then Con in 2005, that would make us quite a floating seat.

If the Lib Dmes -might- be in with a chance - give them a go! It can't be much worse than the venal, self-aggrandizing sleaze-bag vote-for-hire scumbags we've had for the last 30 odd years, can it?

An End to boom and bust, oh yes...

LibDems - we promise a referendum on the EU constitution. Their statement couldn't have been plainer, but when it came to actually giving the people a say as promised....well.
Frankly they are the same venal, self-aggrandizing sleaze-bag vote-for-hire scumbags we've had for the last 30 odd years.

I'll give you a guinea if you vote Monster Raving Loony.

(Since the other parties appear to be trying to bribe the electorate with small numbers that don't multiply up to much compared to the personal cost of more of the fucking same.)

Not an option I'm afraid.
The ones I listed are the only 5 choices I've got tomorrow.

The colour of UKIP's water is indicated by their science advisor: Viscount Monckton, the (in)famous climate science denier and allround asshat. I have to assume that their other policy areas are as reactionary and stupid at the very least. Science is physical, policy is opinion. If they can't get the physical right, they're very likely to be utter buffoons across the board.

Which kinda leaves you with holding your nose for the Tory; the Lib Dem if you can get over the Europe thang; or Green as a conscience vote that won't make much noise but will leave your soul shiny.

UKIP seem to be arses. I don't think that an isolationist anti-europe future is a good thing for the country.

The Greens are very definitely socialist and left-er than most. I'm not sure that's a bad thing, though.

If One of the Big 3 are going to clinch it anyway, I'd rather my vote helped a weenie greenie to maybe keep their deposit than a UKIP tosser who probably is a monied fat-cat already.

What's the mix in the constituency currently? Any chance of change through tactical voting, or is it foregone?
