Mondays make me happy. (Lol. That statement just seems wrong.) Yeah, the day begins with an organic exam, but usually, I am prepared. Then it's over, I can feel accomplished and smart, and I have no homework so I can clean and play all day.
Yay! I was much more prepared for my exam than I expected to be.
Boo! I still ended up making my lowest exam grade so far this term.
Super Yay! Which was a 94!
Boo! The stitches on my Hickman are getting more sore and irritated everyday, and they got pulled on yesterday which just makes it worse today. However, they're sore because they're healing up which means
Yay! They might get to come out next week!
Blah. Had lab yesterday. We got intermediate product. Our H-NMR indicated we had synthesized the correct product. Our GC-mass spec indicated that it was only 70% pure. Our percent yield revealed we didn't make enough of it. There's not time to start over again, so we had to press on with what we had. Today's lab will either end in elation or tears depending on whether or not we get product. Today is the last day of lab. If it doesn't work today, we will fail lab. Lissa might need love, hugs, and snuggles this afternoon (well, love, hugs, and snuggles are ALWAYS appriciated and enjoyed, but they might even be more so this afternoon)
Yay! Today is the last day of lab.
Yay! There are only 10 days left in the term
Boo! I'm gonna be crazy stressed and busy for the next 10 days: must finish lab, write and design presentation poster for lab project, study for last test (next Monday) and then the standardized final (!!) exam (next Thursday).
Yay! Mommy and Lil rat stopped by for dinner yesterday!
Yay? The rat got to empty the piggybank at Grandmother's and brought me my take. On the one hand, it makes me happy that I still get to be part of this silly tradition even though I'm 'all grown-up.' On the other, I now have $12 in change. Don't get me wrong, this college student will take any and all handouts offered. I just have no clue what I'm going to do with a massive bag of change.
Giggle: Lil' rat walked up to my room, and then promptly turned around and announced 'Sissy, your room is scary.' Took me a second to realize that it was because I have O-chem reaction posters all over my walls. Then, I just laughed.
Yay! Got to wear my pretty green dress yesterday. It's like wearing a giant t-shirt all day. And I look really cute in it. And my favorite necklace matches perfectly. Is WONDERFUL. Made me happy all day.
Yay! My room is clean. My clothes are clean. My car is (almost) clean. One of the best parts about Monday after exams is that I actually have time to clean like I like. Once again, made me happy.
Yay! Re-discovering The Waiting and John Rutter's Gloria (lol. how's that for a combination) this week. Yay for uplifting my spirit.
From the whisper of the lover to the lion's roar
The command of the commander upon the field of war
The instruction of the father, the laughter of the friend
I've heard every utterance and I can't comprehend
Just why I can't decide, I can't make the choice
Is it Your word that I'm in love with
Or the sound of Your voice?
Oh speak, speak to me
Oh speak, speak to me
I'm as quiet as I can be
So speak, speak to me
From the Spirit on the water to the splitting of the sea
The beauty of Your form upon a raging Galilee
The cloud that filled the temple, the fire on desert sand
I've seen every step and still don't understand
Why I can't render a decision, I can't seem to choose
Is it Your journey I'm in love with
Or just the way You move?
Oh speak, speak to me
Oh speak, speak to me
I'm as quiet as I can be
So speak, speak to me
I love the way You speak
In what You say and what You do
Give me ears so I can hear You
I need to hear You
From the burning of the bush that refused to be consumed
To the Spirit on a shepherd boy that ran through every tune
The terror of the King who carries vengeance in His hand
The love of the Messiah dying quiet as a lamb.
Oh speak, speak to me
Oh speak, speak to me
I'm as quiet as I can be
So speak, speak to me
yays and boos,
happy,
family,
music,
organic chemistry,
chem lab,
lyrics
