You Cannot Be Serious

I made up bunches of mini-flashcards for Anishinaabe last night and this morning before Anthropology and then again before the class itself. Which resulted in way, way too many of the little devils. But it's alright, the terms aren't that hard to remember. Easy as hell to get mixed up, though. Aakozi and Ayekozi especially, though there are more that are similar like them. Now, the reason I made these flashcards is because we have our first test (we only have two) coming up next Monday. Aaaaaand what did the professor do today? Give us a review, go over our notes, tell us what words or tenses we should know best? No, of course not.

He read us stories about the Ojibwe's view on the creation of the earth and how they killed their enemies.

I do not need to know about Nanaboozhoo to get through my Anishinaabe language course!!!!!!!! Myth and legend and history are not what this is about, he has other classes for that. I'm not the only one who found the two hours a complete waste of time, either. Because it was. The hour I was there (I had to leave early for an appointment) I noticed that maybe one person was actually listening to what he was saying. Maybe. And that one person was not me, because I was going through my flashcards.

Just... grrrr.

On a happier note - RA Rick (who sat in on my roommate mediation with that Christel girl) asked me yesterday if he could use my roommate story for his Broadcasting and Media class, because they're focusin on roommate stories and he wants to use one that is serious and actually matters; showing important issues. I'll be me, of course, Dara'll be Dara, and he's using one of the girls from his class to play Christel because he doesn't want to use her for it. Yesterday someone (Ashley or Cyndi, I can't rightly remember which) said that of course he'd've come to me; you don't go to the person in the wrong for a story. He looked like a kid in a candy store when he was asking me questions about it last night, too.

this is why i hate humanity, rant, did i lose my mind?, no wai!, classes are the devil
