In other news- ummm... I don't know, actually. Oh! Irony = Lee handing me a piece of amethyst only to remind me of the piece of amethyst plus a little seagull that I had picked up for her. And the hour long ride from Munising to Marquette was rather interesting/entertaining. Especially since there was this one idiot who nearly had Mandy tearing her hair out with frustration. Hilarity also ensued when we went to dinner at the MP. Great to be back, did I mention that yet?
Now I'm looking at websites full of jewelry. Ummm... so what is up with that? o.o;
On the note of jewelry - the whole great-grandchildren thing was brought up by my grandma Jackie on the way back from the Escanaba Craft Show on Friday. Danny twisted around in his seat, looked at me, and burst out laughing before my mother snorted. I love my grandma and all, but still, she has got to get it through her head that I am a lesbian. Okay, so I could have kids, but what she said was, "Well, Katie's a fully functioning woman - why couldn't she be the first one to settle down and make us some grandbabies with a good Christian man." That's why Danny almost choked; she used two words right together that do not apply to me at all. I think she brought it up because we were looking at some really sweet rings (so they happened to be diamond, so what? They're SHINY!) and marriage was brought up. I am talented at avoiding that subject, she just brought it back later. *le sigh* She'll deal.
