Won't Keep It Inside

Okay, in the realm of fucked up dreams, I just had the most fucked up one of my life, I'm pretty sure. Why am I so confident in saying that? Continue reading and you will see...

My aunt Joyce is the one with cancer, and she has a twin, my aunt Joy. Their first names are Electa and Elizabeth respectively, but Joyce and Joy are what they prefer to go by. In aunt Joyce's case, I understand completely. But that's not the point. In my dream I was having a conversation with my mother (we were in Alma for the goddess knows what reason, I hate that town) and she sprung on me the fact that aunt Joyce had just underwent surgery to become a man at the age of like, fifty-nine. While I was still reeling from that, she also revealed that aunt Joyce and aunt Joy were going to get married to each other! In the dream I went into complete and total fits... or I'd like to say I did, in actuality, I just went to the hospital where the wedding was being held and clapped politely before sneaking off with Kendra, Rachel and Danny to discuss exactly how fucked up this entire situation was. And I have to say, my aunt Joyce does not look good with a beard - she would be a bad uncle James.

Danny: Did that really just happen?
Kendra: I think it did, yeah. The world must be ending.
Me: Or I'm dreaming. Can we say I'm dreaming and call it all good? Because then it didn't really just happen and we can keep the world.
Rachel: I like the world. Besides, isn't Kendra supposed to get married next?
Kendra: Whoa! Who said anything about me getting married?!
Danny: You're the oldest; it's not like I'm tying myself down anytime soon.
Kendra: But Katie has the longest, best relationship!
Me: You forget Katie's also a lesbian. Katie's not allowed to get married in this country.
Rachel: Katie's talking about herself in third person.
Me: Yes, yes she is.
Mom: Come on! Time for cake!
Rachel: This world is seriously fucked up.

The dream continued on to the reception party and didn't get any better. Very fucked up, especially when champagne was tossed in.

Maybe dreams like this are why I wake up in the morning with more circles under my eyes than I had when I went to sleep. Even though those aren't always caused by lack of sleep. Wait -
one of the most frequent causes is a lack of Vitamin C, so drink more orange juice and the like" ???? Ask anyone who goes to lunch/dinner with me regularly about my intake of Vitamin C, and they'll tell you that I have more than enough circling around in my veins at any given time. Yeah... maybe I'm just getting a lot less sleep than I thought. Which could be due to my roommate and suitemate deciding that really loud morning conversation in the bathroom with the door open is a brilliant idea.

And my back is a little on the other side of sore. But, instead of being unhappy with this, I am pleased. I just wish that I was able to put some lotion on it.
