At the start of this year, I decided to keep track of the books I read. I actually set it up as a private journal entry on 01-01, and it was easy to go back to it each time I needed to add another title

If I'm remembering correctly, I liked the story of Venus better, but the writing in Courtesan was better.

Eragon was fun -- I want to read the rest of the series.

Kushiel's Dart was one of those "I definately don't LOVE it, but I absolutely DON'T want to put it down." Another one that I want to continue with the series, although not for awhile.

It felt kinda.. juvenile to me. The good guys obviously good and too quickly competent; the bad guys two dimensional and kind of unmemorable. These are all impressions from three years ago, though; if I read it again, I might change my mind.

I did, however, enjoy it enough to read it in one sitting...
