Still Alive
Been a long time since I posted. So a brief update just to let you all know that I'm still alive.
+The first vestiges of spring have been showing up. Flowers starting to bloom, don't have to pull out the fur coat to go to work every day, the sun isn't quite so weak and watery. I'm by no means trying to hasten along summer, but I am tired of the cold.
+Chris A. let us borrow the first few seasons of Deadwood. B has seen every episode, I've seen about half of them, and have loved every one thus far. I really enjoy this show and need to go start watching the other seasons as well. HBO is a bunch of idiots for cancelling the thing. Consider this highly recommended from both of us.
+Went to see AVP: Requiem. Squeed like a fucking fangirl. Was disappointed in how the fight sequences were shot. Hope they make another one soon. Need a t-shirt that says "I ship Me/Predator".
+Went to see Cloverfield. Not my genre, but very impressive. I really liked it. Screamed like a bitch once or twice much to the amusement of the boys. Still, it was a really good movie. It does not need a sequel though.
+First episode of LOST was pretty good. I like Hurley. I <3 Sawyer. Seeing Ben get the shit kicked out of him last season was still the highlight of the entire show IMO. Also, I still want to see Juliette get mauled by some horrible creature. There's just nothing even remotely redeeming about her in my eyes.
+UFC 81 was this month. Terribly disappointed for Tim Sylvia, Jeremy Horn. Glad that Mir won. Have been avoiding all the forums since then because I don't want to hear the stupid PRIDE dumbasses saying "I told you so!"
+DUDE! Speaking of which! B and I were at Best Buy the other day and we stumbled upon this cinematic gem.

B: We can't buy it...
Me: No, but I've got to get a picture of it]

+Reading A Thousand Splendid Suns. Need to start reading Infidel sometime soon too. Also read about Gang Leader for a Day today too. Looks interesting, may have to check it out.
+Currently listening to Lupe Fiasco's The Cool more than just about any other CD in my rotation. It's fantastic. I love his voice, his different styles, the lyrics, everything. I highly, highly recommend this cd. I think I may even like it better than his first album.
+Also on rotation:
The Best of Sevendust - Rock, pleasantly loud, not too screamy. I've driven B & Carl crazy listening to "Angel's Son" on repeat.
This is Forever by She Wants Revenge - Because I'm still a goth at heart.
The Eagles, Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 - It never gets old.
Kim burned me a copy of the new Common cd, but it doesn't work on my cd player so I'm going to have to break down and buy it I think. :(
Oh, and then there's this, which is made of Win.
