Thanksgiving
So, the dining room is painted and looks spectacular. So what am I going to do now? Why, host Thanksgiving for Brandon's family and possibly some of our dispossesed friends, of course!
I do a lot of roasted chickens and everything and I figured that roasting a turkey would be pretty much like roasting a chicken on steroids, but all these recipes make it sound SO complicated. So I'm bypassing that and just getting my dad to smoke a turkey for me. Biggest part of the dinner: already accomplished.
Otherwise I'm going to do cornbread dressing, gravy, squash casserole, mac and cheese, green beans, and some other vegetables. Maybe an apple cake or something like that (as my pie skills are distinctly lacking).
Also: Marcus came home this weekend. ^__^ Game was like whoa. The house is still clean and B and I curled up on the couch last night for a romantic evening of watching the Democratic debates.
