Turkey Day approaches... what are y'all doing for the holiday?
I am celebrating by going to work at 5 am and helping frenzied customers find their Thanksgiving meal ingredients in a busy grocery store. Anybody else have to work on Thanksgiving?
Well, that's what I'll be doing for the early part of my day...after that, my boyfriend and I (yes, we're saying the boyfriend/girlfriend words now) are cooking some non-traditional foods, and then hanging out with some friends for some dessert. Yum!
The only Thanksgiving day that I have spent away from my family was while in Chile two years ago... we ate steak and drank Pisco sours. Speaking of which, I found out that a small liquor store in Davis (of all places!) sells several brands of Pisco.
Things are going really well with the boy...we've now met some of each other's friends (which I had never previously known was such an important, intimidating milestone in a relationship...that kinda made me nervous), and both of our families know we're dating. Maybe this is all trivial stuff, but to me, it's the first time anything has ever been this "official". It's kinda fun, and kinda scary, too.
