weekend craziness
What an eventful weekend: A car crash (not mine, and everybody is okay), a trip to SF to see the Museum of Modern Art (if you've never been, GO NOW), and a purchase of a new car to replace the sad, crashed one. He bought a Honda hybrid...yayawesome!
The Museum of Modern Art is exactly what you'd think it'd be like...some really intriguing pieces that inspire and cause mouths to drop open...some bizarre ones that involve see-through skins and membranes of animals which make you say, "Uh...?", and some others that were simply (in my humble opinion) NOT art... like the canvas that was simply painted white. Come on. But now we get to feel all "cultured", and it was truly a fun trip.
Buying a new car is such an ordeal. And it wasn't even me buying the car...but I did learn a lot as I got to be present for every step of the process. We were blatantly lied to, coerced, and haggled... then the salesman who made the final deal told his boss that we were "family" and that he should give us a "good deal on the insurance stuff". Buying a car is really just a weird world full of cheap suits, firm handshakes, and phony smiles.
