When I was sixteen, I really, really liked Slipknot's Iowa, but I hadn't really been exposed to much metal at that point.
I'm 25 now and I still really fuckin' like that album and I don't care what kind of "poser" that makes me.

Static-X's debut, 1999's Wisconsin Death Trip, certainly wasn't brilliant, but it at least showed potential. The riffs, though repetitive (likely intentionally due to the industrial/metal-techno sound they've always sought), were energetic. Songs utilized a variety of tempos and genre elements.
