Fall
Fall is really v. beautiful here in Hyde Park (even though the last two days have really been summer not fall). Yesterday I went for a run on the lake shore trail. I followed it down to its southern end (mouth?) (Also there are SO MANY golf courses south of 55th; what the hell). Maybe someday I'll get to the other 15.5 miles.
Today I interviewed this law professor for an article in the Maroon, my school newspaper. I've never interviewed anyone before. He was a little odd, alternating between very soft- and slow-spoken. It took me a few minutes to figure out that I was probably jumping in with new questions and cutting him off mid-thought, just because he would take these like 15-second pauses between thoughts (and 15 seconds is a lonnnng time in a conversation) and I thought he was done, but he wasn't. He was pretty unabashedly partisan. It would have been funny, except that he wasn't laughing.
