Today was the best day everrrrrr. So first school was really good, and then my riding lesson was amaaaaaazing! We have a new teacher and her name is Danielle. She's new to Rock Creek so she doesn't know any of the horses, and today was kind of introductory, so we didn't jump, but still. My tall boots are AWESOME. They're breaking in so fast. They already have a fold around the ankle, and they didn't hurt that much to ride in. Danielle showed me a way to hold my leg so that my toes don't turn out, and it makes me love her soooo much.
I found out that I'm a really tense rider. She kept telling me to breathe and relax, that equitation doesn't mean I have to be stiff. It was sweet. Trooper was soooo good, too. Our canter transition was so quick and easy. It was the best I've ever gotten with him. He was so responsive to my leg, and I basically rode the whole class with no contact or minimal contact on his mouth.
