008: [Written][Action]
[The journal shows a pen, held by an obviously masculine hand, carefully tapping the page, leaving tiny little ink dots where it lands. This goes on for several minutes, eventually tapping itself out into a simple spiral.
Ten minutes later, the spiral has several 'layers' to each arm, each as precisely tapped out as the first go-around, and from there it eventually becomes something of a small, dotted galaxy, complete with 'rays' of light emanating from the center.
Finally, there are two neatly and carefully printed words on the page.]

[The book is shut after that and Derek makes his way outside, first to the bakery for a rarely sought out treat in the form of a donut and coffee, and then he wanders his way to the river, sitting down in the grass to eat...and think.]
