Soul Food

A few weeks back I ran out of seasoned salt.  It had taken me years to go through the bottle of Lawry's as the only use I had for it was on the occasional steak -- put some of that on one side, and some garlic salt on the other.  The results were decent, but still required some Stubb's barbecue sauce to get a bold flavor that I enjoy.

Rather than just buying more of the same, I thought I'd peruse the wide variety of spices and seasoning on display at the store.  Surely they held some secret, something better than that consumed by the masses.  After a couple of end-to-end scans, my eyes reluctantly returned to a bottle that boldly displayed this visage:

I thought to myself, If they can put this on the label and still sell it, it must be good stuff.

And let me tell you, Sylvia's Soulful Seasoned Salt did turn out to be fantastic!  A few shakes on a steak are all you need.  The only downside of finding this delicious powder is that now I want to buy steaks much more often than before.

Try it!  If it's on your store's shelves, you won't miss it.
