My heart never learned
Multiplication tables
Together is an imaginary number
She says love the one you’re with
I say I don’t know the lyrics
She wants to teach me the chords
I can’t feel the rhythm
Together is an arietta
Composition is feeling
But this sum is based on reason
Aristotle is battling Plato in my mind
I want to crawl back in the cave
