Like most good ideas I have this is the result of two concurrent ideas colliding in my head. I read Chuck's most recent poem, and near him on the LJ list I read Shawna's post about Paul Simon's song "You Can Call Me Al." That's what I was listening to as I wrote this. I was rummaging around in some old papers today and I unearthed a poem I wrote several years ago during my "love sucks" phase.
