Packing is, I find, a very idiosyncratic process. I think each of us has a different way of packing! ...is always fraught with difficulties. One can never really *visualize*, sitting in one set of atmospheric conditions, how cold or hot it will be in the other place. People are calling and coming over and spending a lot of time with us as we prepare to leave. And...this is also a problem. Going away for 7 weeks is tough. The amount of stuff I want to take is staggering. Some of it (the main part) is stuff for others, but things like medication are what I don't want to run short of.
