PENINSULAR ROCK AGAMAS

.... being reptiles, have to bask in the sun on the rocks to warm up their blood, and to prevent predators from picking them off, are masters of camouflage.

The Chloropsis..the first time I heard this word
I thought, "A bird word that sounds absurd!"
But the name's because its body is a lovely, leafy green.
Because of this, the Chloropsis is not easily seen.

I found this insect on the rock when I had been to Bheemeshwari with the Clean and Green group for the plastic clean-up.

I could hardly see it against the rock, and had to photograph it very carefully. I do not know if it is a moth or a locust or a grasshopper or....
