So I'm giving depo another shot after having constant bleeding the first time around. I received my first injection four weeks after giving birth, right after I'd stopped the post partum bleeding. I bled every day for three months and once it wore it off (didn't get the next injection), and didn't have a period for another couple of months until I got on the patch. I decided to give depo another try because I've had issues with every other type of birth control I've been on (patch, ring, pill), mainly constant bleeding and depression.
So today was the first day of my period and I was able to get injected about four hours after my period started. I'm wondering how those of you who got the shot on the first day of your period did with bleeding in the first three months. I really don't want to bleed constantly, but I've pretty much accepted that no matter what bc I use I will have this problem so I'm willing to deal with it in regards to depo if I can be confident it will be sorted out at some point. I'm also curious about hopw crucial the timing of the next injection is. The assistant gave me a card which said my window was June 4-18. I counted the days and June 4 is only 78 after the intial injection. I want to know what the best time to go is in terms of having a better bleeding outcome. Is it better to get the next shot eary (~70ish days) or closer to 90. Any personal stories and/or advice would be appreciated.
