Don't You Know That Today's March 17? It's The Day For The Wearing Of The Green!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Hope everyone's having a good day and wearing their green today. <3 Too bad it's a Tuesday, though. Not much can really be done this evening. I'm sad I won't get to see any of my friends. ;-;
Okay, on to today. Over the weekend I picked up two fish bowls. One's a gallon, which will go to my betta Archimedes. Yesterday I bought him some "Greek ruins" for him to swim around in his new bowl. He'll be transferred today. I also had a coupon for $3 at Pet Smart, and instead of being "good" and getting a discount on his new architecture, I bought him a girlfriend to live in the half-gallon tank I also aquired. >.> Yay, I get to name another fish! She looks like he used to, but a girl. White body (more white than his was) with blue tipped fins that fade into a red. It's a quick fade, but you can see the colors clearly. I'm (sadly) expecting her to shed her white slowly, just as he did. Ah well.
Oh, this hurts my brain, and I wanted everyone else to share my pain. SciFi Channel to change it's name to SyFy. They want to disassociate with the "geek" image, and stop airing Science Fiction (because, you know, they're not already annoying the fans by airing reality TV and stuff instead of true SciFi and Fantasy?). Someone should have told them the age-old problem of... well, geeks who need a "new name" will frequently swap "I"s for "Y"s. They just did the geekiest thing ever in their stupid name change. Ugh. This whole thing makes my brain hurt. Feel the burn with me, everyone!
I guess that's all I really have to say right now. I'm way behind on life. I miss hanging with my friends. Umm... Heidi, if you see this, give me a call. I've totally lost track of time and have no clue when you're planning to visit anymore. <3 Let's see... what else? Oh. I'm rocking my Guinness fedora today. Yes, you read correctly: Guinness fedora.
