Random Morning

May 14, 2008 09:22

It's quiet here today at work. That's good. I can slack and catch up, all at the same time! But I'm also kind of meh. I kind of want to be... gah, this is wierd for me... exercising. I want to play tennis. Or maybe go home and clean, then work on my swap. Bah for work wasting my time. ::laughs::

Everyone who likes Death Note and lives in Georgia, check this out! One, I didn't know the live action movie was being brought over. Two, chance to win two free premier tickets! TICKETS! XD Go win tickets, my beautifuls. And if you have no one to go with, take me if you win. ^_~ Dragon*Con is giving away a pair of tickets, to be exact. But yea, anyway, I thought that was kind of awesome.

I also find it interesting that I'm just now hearing about the fact that Airborne is crap. I mean, sure, I knew it TASTED like crap. But apparently they were sued for being useless or something, and now they're reimbursing everyone who's ever bought their product! Go on the Wikipedia page if you don't believe me. There's even a link at the bottom to the form you need to send in to get your money back. Heh.

So, let's see. Oh, remember that FREE Wii someone listed on Freecycle? Well she never responded, and someone made a post saying they thought she was just trying to get emails for... whatever. Well she finally responded, in an email just to me, though I think it's an email she sent to everyone, masquerading as an email just to me. ::laughs:: It goes on about how it was a hard choice, and how she chose some guy named Mike who works for a local kids charity (which honestly, if real, sounds like a good decision to me). Then she goes on to say how people probably wonder why she gave it away, but how it only cost her five dollars, because... AND THEN she goes into a big speel about join this website for free stuff complete offers blah blah free stuff awesome totally helped me awesome free stuff website join! ::rolls her eyes:: I'm going to look into the site, carefully, without clicking the link she sent (because I'm not stupid--it's either going to be a virus, or her referral link that gets her money, and using this as a way to make money =/= cool in my book). So I guess I'll see what's up, and if it's actually worth anything, I'll probably make a post letting you guys know. I have obvious doubts, though.

::goes to look at that now:: Okay, so the site appears to be 'legit'. However, hmm... Sending your referral link to others in an unsolicited or excessive manner or posting your referral link in newsgroups or online forums where it is forbidden. She's totally breaking the ToS in my opinion. Oh well. She didn't get me as a referral. I decided to sign up, though. We'll see what happens. If I get enough referrals (that's where you guys come in, if you're interested in trying the same thing!), I may even get a Wii of my own! I just have to complete an offer (yes, usually things that require pay), and then get my referrals (you guys or someone else). Joel can't sign up, as you can't have two accounts from the same address/household. I can't try to solicit my coworkers, since you can't have two accounts from the same IP address. Well bugger. I may get my referrals. I'm still trying to figure out if I can get my offer, since the only one I'd be tempted with is the Netflix free trial, but we already have Netflix. Hmm, wonder if I can get the trial for my parents. I still don't know if you need the offer finished to be an official 'referral' or not, so even if I do this, I may not get the referrals I need. That's up to my referrals I suppose. ^_~ Well, and the website.

Hoho! So, apparently this might work, maybe, if I find people. ;op

From their website:

I cannot complete an offer myself, can I still get a gift?
Sometimes you might find that you are unable to complete one of the offers available through the links on our site (for instance, if you do not have a credit card or if you have already completed the offers that you would like to do).

You can still get a gift from any of the freebiejeebies sites. All you need to do is obtain 3 extra referrals in addition to the number required for your chosen gift. So if you want to get a gift which is normally 6 referrals, you can get 9 referrals and we will accept 3 of them in lieu of your own offer completion.

So at least there's that, but I'm hoping I can get Netflix for my parents. I think they'd like that.

Well, anyway, I'll figure it out. In case you're interested in doing the same (some items only require like 3 referrals, depends on what you want), here's my referral link. Might as well give a friend some credit if you're going to sign up, right? <3 Referral link: HERE.

I'm not counting on anything, but figure I might as well give it a shot. I'm sure it will track my referrals, so I'll try to give you guys updates now and again. I'm not going to count on it, though. I'll just keep doing my paid surveys and making my super slow money that I know is at least reliable, and we'll see from there. (Oh, and if you want to do online surveys for free, to get money, but really slowly (like 0.50 a survey but it is at least legit and doesn't require any payments or offers or anything), here's my referral link! Referral link:

If you sign up, I totally get a percent of what you make doing certain things, and you still get all that you earn. Win win situation, right?

Anyway, I'm spamming you guys, and I suck for that. I'm sorry. Hopefully you just ignored those last paragraphs if you didn't care. Moving on!

Boo, Bossman1's going to be in the office today. Bossman2 called out. I was hoping Bossman1 wouldn't show either. Ah well. Hopefully it'll still be a quiet day.

Joel is running a semi-local D&D game for myself and a few friends (I think we've already hit max?), that will mostly be online with a few hopeful meetings in person if schedules work out. Well, it looks like a blast, and I can't wait to start. But I've been surfing around the website that it's on, which seems to be an AWESOME online resource for RPGs. And it really sucks that with all these RPG games running, not a single one was what I'd been hoping for. SO... how many of you guys know about BESM? How many of you have the books and/or know how to play? How many of you would be interested in a game? And would any of you be interested in RUNNING a game, or am I going to end up GMing instead of playing? ::grins wickedly::

I think that's it for now. I... don't really know what else to add, and I've probably rambled long enough. Now to go interview peoples in my previous post. Don't know what I'm talking about? Go look at my previous post and find out!
