and now its August.
Its been a good summer!
My weekends in July continued to be fun...the two Hamilton trips, one short, one longer, were both good. Partied a little bit, watched movies, chilled with the Hamilton Crew, played lots of frisbee, and did some hiking to check out waterfalls....that were mostly dried up! Also went to a farm outside Harriston for a going-away party last weekend. another random house party I went to with Aaron and Lisa was pretty good - with a Vita-Mix - and a dozen people I knew.
August might be a little calmer, especially with a schedule change - switching to nights during the week. that might save me a little bit of money with less nights out, although I will need to eat more now! It will also give me some time to catch up with tri-Pride...arg. I may consider switching to a part-time shift so that I can do more catering - and make more money. (But then, I may lose my benefits...so I might leave it for now.)
Catering has been non-existent for the past couple weeks, in part because of their vacation time, and in part because I was already booked - every weekend. But its picking up, and I'll try to work it in the schedule.
The household has been doing pretty good, although the roomies aren't being particularly adventurous. They've gone out to Starlight with us, and now that random houseparty last week! Car is broken again..leaving them carless, and stressing about money a bit, but overall they seem to be doing well. And Aaron is going to school in the fall!
Steve are doing pretty good...we've managed to spend many of our weekends together and we're both enjoying other nicely. Its good. We've been learning some things about each other and so far, its all good. Its nice to not have an angry guy.
I've still been reading far too much, causing a procrastinating-type-behaviour...but I am gonna try to crack down and not read for a bit - I've just been re-reading all my books. I am planning on organizing them a bit, and have already been reducing their population. next is the bookstore to see if I can recoup a little bit of money and selling them back. fingers crossed. its kind of inconvenient to be hurtin' for dollars.
there's a lot of other things I am gonna try to do on the computer - let's see if I can be productive all day long!
