fantastic weekend

...time just seems to flit on by; thankfully, I seem to be able to pack more and more fun into each week. Its rather shocking how much fun I'm having, actually.

Already worked through a number of Christmas parties at the restaurant. Unfortunately, staffing extra servers to make up for inadequate kitchen help affects my tips a lot, so there's been several parties where I didn't make any more than I might have working a regular night. I'm working on some fixes for that, but tensions mounting already, and we haven't gotten to the biggest of the parties - or actual Christmas - OR New Years. While I will still have some fun, it will be tough to dea.l with the others who are all schizo.

Was at the bar last weekend and had a pretty good time - great times dancing. While I had several guys hitting on me, there was this one guy that I kept trading glances at. However, I never really go after anyone, so I just let it be, although we continued to lock glances. If he had been dancing more I would have gone up to him, but later in the night, as I was about to go, he got up the courage to come up to me. and wow - yay for that. He ended up coming from guelph yesterday and we spent the day together - and hit it off SO well. ohmygod. fun times. Very exciting. The day was awesome with lots of sun, walked around and smoked some joints, had some lunch and some dinner, played some pool and watched a movie. and got rather drunk! First date was over nine hours long - and it was great every minute. sigh. I can't wait for next weekend!

Didn't go out this past friday night...just worked late for private party - as I did most of the nights last week. Getting a little rough with the lack of sleep. Saturday night after the party that night, I went to Corbans for the usual fun times! It was a blender/hawaiian party and there were several others I knew - and made some more friends. Left the house at 4:30am...I had hoped to leave sooner so I was really fresh for my all-day sunday date; definitely wanted to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed!.....but it was fine. By noon I was filled with anticipation, albeit with a somewhat sore head.

Back at work today - the usual monotony. Call flow has been reduced, which is nice. I expect the afternoon will slow down more, as it has for the past couple days, and I have no problem with that! Chai lady called and wants a bunch of chai - yay for some extra bucks, since I keep falling short, even working as much as I do.

I have a party on Tuesday night at chefs which should be good - perhaps working the weekend, but I was supposed to go to hamilton with johnny, jesse and janet on saturday night. instead, I have plans with Rick. Janet wants my hours, which makes it difficult for us to drive in HER car...johnny doesn't want to drive....and so I don't know what I shall be doing now. crap. so many details I need to organize. But I have an entire day off on wednesday so I hope to catch up with the rest of my life soon. and even with my hamilton peeps paying for everything, it still gets expensive.

90 minutes to go, but now I have creep girl beside me. back to my book. which happens to to be The Picture of Dorian Grey. somewhat more amusing than when I read it many, many years ago. And, I find that I have developed more of an appreciation for the style and prose....I find it rather amusing that *I* am writing down quotes from the book! (and how I can also hear ted's voice throughout the book.)

time to go!
