I went to see a National Theatre Live screening of War Horse last night. The recent Spielberg film left me cold, by and large, except one particular scene of Joey in No Man's Land, but the play had me sobbing like a baby. I have never been in such a packed cinema in all my life. Not even for the midnight screenings of Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter or other much-hyped blockbusters. I am so excited for this adaptation of Les Mis. It's one of my favourite stage musicals anyway, and I love the idea of having all the songs sung live in the take, rather than pre-recorded. It'll be so interesting to see.

I went to the theatre last night to see Avenue Q - haven't laughed so hard in ages. I knew most of the songs anyway (I regularly get 'The Internet is for Porn' stuck in my head, which can be most inconvenient at work) but seeing the show is a lot better.
