Wow, is all I can say...

I'm watching Dancing on Ice, and Hayley and Dan just blew me away! That routine to Jai Ho was amazing and I actually bounced in my seat and clapped when she nailed that four-rotation spin. Perfect score most definitely deserved!

I really like Hayley. I've wanted her to win right from the start - she seems like such a fun bubbly person, and I love her relationship with Dan, them having known each other since their schooldays. I look forward to seeing her skate every week.

I think this is the first year the person I want to win actually has a shot of doing so! I think it would be a major shock if Hayley didn't win, bearing in mind she's been top of the leaderboard every week and no-one else is even close to getting the scores she's getting.

In other news, I went to see the new Alice in Wonderland with my brother this weekend, and sadly I was quite underwhelmed, with the movie and the 3D. I can't really see what purpose the 3D served, other than as a gimmick and a way to make more money maybe. It didn't lend anything to the movie and I found it actually distracted me from paying as much attention as I usually do. Until the technology gets better or they actually use it to effect, rather than as a sales-point, I'll stick to the 2D versions.

As far as the movie goes, it was very much a childrens' movie, which...yes, I knew that going in, but with Tim Burton directing I was hoping for something a little darker. It was just silly and disjointed and poorly acted. Even by Johnny Depp. The best parts were Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat and Alan Rickman as the Caterpillar. Alan Rickman is sexy even as a blue hookah-smoking caterpillar. I'm impressed.
