Criminal Minds is back! And CSI: NY! Ahh, my shows...

Criminal Minds:
This was a great episode, even though the team were lamentably slow on the uptake. I pegged the ambulance for the bomb as soon as they started to drive into the underground garage. And it's not often that I'm ahead of the CM team - it usually takes me until the last moment to get what's going on.

Did anyone else have an inappropriate giggle at the Mad Bomber chasing after the ambulance going 'Nooooooooo'? No? Just me then?

And then...Morgan! Morgan! I had this mad moment where I was sat at my computer screaming 'Morgan!' like a loon. Seriously, how did he survive that? But I'm damn glad he did - he and Garcia are just the cutest.

But who was the bigwig the Secret Service was protecting in the hospital? It must have been somebody pretty important, but we never found out who it was.

CSI: NY:
CSI: NY is one of the shows for me where it doesn't really matter how good or bad the episode is, because I'm just happy watching everyone be pretty and smart. Especially Mac and Stella. I love Mac and Stella. Especially Mac. I especially love Mac when he's dripping wet. And when he's got that fierce, thoughtful, frustrated thing going on.

So I wouldn't say this was the greatest episode, but then I found the previous ep an odd choice for a cliffhanger. I mean, they'd just wrapped up this long multi-ep arc involving the Taxi Cab killer - it would have made more sense to leave it there. Throwing us into a two-parter that has nowhere near the impact of the previous storyline and using it to end the season in suspense was just weird. But I guess that's the writers' strike's influence.

I had a momentary wibble when Stella was hanging off the building. Any other show Mac or Danny or Flack would have come charging in to save her, but not this show. Stella saves herself, as she always has done. Love that. Love Stella. Have I mentioned that?

I have NCIS and Heroes, but I haven't watched them yet. And House and Bones. Jeez, a whole summer with no TV and then it's all at once and I can't keep up!

And Lost in Austen finished last night and I've already had the shipping notification from Play.com for the DVD. That was fast! Loved the ending. It was just what I'd hoped for. Such a silly show, but it was so much fun.
