Damn, this show. I can't believe it went there. And not only did it go there, but it was planned right from the start; this was something that Toby Stephens knew about Flint all along. I can't believe they teased Flint's backstory out in tiny little nuggets and completely misdirected the audience about Mrs Barlow and Thomas Hamilton all this time.

Yeah, I've totally tipped over from loving this show to fucking LOVING this show.

Also, I've had this stuck in my head all day. The two are not unconnected.
